I. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

II. CALL TO ORDER: President Pedersen called to order the Board of Trustees of the Village of Franklin Park in regular session at 7:01 p.m.

III. ROLL CALL; ESTABLISHMENT OF QUORUM

Village Clerk Roberta Johnson called the roll:

Present at Board Meeting: Mayor Pedersen. Trustees: Ms. Avitia, Mr. Hagerstrom, Mr. Johnson, Mr. Ruhl, Ms. Special, Mr. Ybarra, Joe Montana (Village Attorney); Roberta Johnson (Village Clerk); April J. Arellano (Village Deputy Clerk), Tom Dailly (I.T. Director), Lisa Anthony (Director of Human Resources/Health and Welfare), Illinois Supreme Court Justice Anne M. Burke

The Village Clerk declared a quorum was present

IV. PUBLIC COMMENTS (Limit to 2 minutes per speaker, Ordinance 1415-G-43) (Public was also give the opportunity to submit comments to the Village Clerk via email to be read at the meeting) There were no in-person public comments and no one submitted a comment to the President and Board of Trustees via email

XV. COMMENTS FROM THE CLERK

1. Newly Elected Village Clerk April J. Arellano thanked past Village Clerk Roberta Johnson for her mentorship and for her longtime service. Village Clerk Arellano also thanked the President and Board of Trustee and the Franklin Park residents and stated that she was excited to start this new role.

XVI. COMMENTS FROM THE PRESIDENT

1. On behalf of the board and Mayor Pedersen, he thanked Roberta Johnson for the work and service she had done in the past years. He thanked her for keeping Franklin Park straight and fully compliant with laws in Open Meetings Act, and FOIA. She always got things done right and efficiently. Mayor Pedersen stated that legal counsel Joseph Montana speaks highly of Ms. Johnson as well

2. Roberta Johnson thanked the Mayor and Board for the opportunity to serve

3. Trustee Karen Special thanked Ms. Johnson for her service and for always being available to answer questions

4. Trustee Irene Avitia thanked Ms. Johnson for being amazing help

5. Trustee John Johnson thanked Ms. Johnson and expressed that Franklin Park’s residents should be happy to have had her as Village Clerk

6. Trustee Bill Ruhl thanked Ms. Johnson for her service
