Analysis: Lyons pays $14.11 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lyons Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 93.4 percent of the $1,164,700 the Lyons Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $14.11 for every $1 from pension members, according to a West Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lyons contributed $1,087,645 to the fund, which saw a $110,725 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $77,055, or 6.6 percent, in 2018.
