Senator John Curran and I recently had the opportunity to meet Eric Phillips and congratulate him on receiving the 2019 Most Innovative Blood Drive Coordinator Award for his work organizing the state’s largest blood drive. Mr. Phillips coordinated the UIC Athletics Blood Drive in 2018 which resulted in 759 blood donations, the highest number of units collected in a single-day blood drive in Illinois. Congratulations to Eric Phillips on this honor and thank you for all that you do for Illinois! #NationalBloodDonorMonth
