The campaign committee of committeeman candidate Don Harmon, Friends of Don Harmon for State Senate, returned a $1,500 contribution from Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. on Jan. 17, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. has not made any other contributions to Don Harmon in the past 12 months.
