Unpaid fines for Oak Park-based campaign committees totaled $12,650 in January 2017

Campaign committees in Oak Park collectively owe a total of $12,650 in overdue fees, records obtained by the West Cook News show.

A detailed review of individual fines revealed that three committees in Oak Park were delinquent in payment for January 2017.

The Oak Park-based committee with the largest total in unpaid fines was Illinois Black Business PAC, which owes a total of $7,500.

The largest fine that Illinois Black Business PAC has yet to pay was imposed on May 25, 2012, for violation of board order. The amount of this fine alone is $5,000.
