Bellwood's W-R Industries, Inc., 2715 Grant Avenue, is one of four businesses chosen by the Cook County Board’s Bureau of Economic Development to receive tax incentives that can help create and retain jobs, according to a press release on Bellwood's website.

W-R Industries is a manufacturing, storage and distribution facility in the offset printing business. W-R plans to purchase the 30,000-square-foot property and update it as the company grows. The company's former location will be offered for sale. W-R estimates that the expansion will create one job, sustain seven more and support 15 construction jobs, as needed.

Collectively, all four businesses receiving tax incentives are expected to create 44 new jobs and retain 162 more.

"Helping businesses create and retain good-paying jobs is a major focus of our economic development efforts," said Cook County President Toni Preckwinkle. "The companies receiving these incentives have demonstrated their commitment to their communities and our residents, and deserve our assistance in growing their businesses.”

The press release did not mention the other three recipients of tax incentives.
