Maywood ordinance committee considers waste contract bid

The village of Maywood Legal, License and Ordinance Committee met Jan. 4 to consider waste contract bid.

1) Discussion and consideration to repair or replace boilers in the Police Department and Council Chamber Building.

B. Village Manager's Reports

1) RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CHANGE ORDER NO.1 RELATIVE TO CERTAIN EXTRA WORK COMPLETED AS PART OF THE RAILROAD AVENUE WATER MAIN AND ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT BY TRINE CONSTRUCTION CORP.

2) Discussion and consideration of a bid from Republic Services for a new five-year residential solid waste contract for the proposed base level of services and for the Village Attorney to finalize a contract.

3) Discussion and consideration to approve the 2017 Roadway Improvement Project for the Madison Street TIF, which includes 19th Avenue, Quincy Street, and 4th Avenue and Wilcox recommendations, with an Engineering Agreement. The estimated cost of these projects were $1,146,000.

4) Discussion and consideration to move analog phone lines, along with Digital Subscriber Line(DSL), from AT&T to Comcast Business and install a diverse Metro Ethernet/Fiber

Internet connection at the Police Department.

C. Village Attorney's Reports

1) Release and Waiver Forms for Adult and Minor Participants of 2017 National League of Cities Washington, DC Trip, with a cover memorandum dated December 28, 2016 from Klein, Thorpe and Jenkins, Ltd.

A. Discussion and consideration to investigate limiting semi-truck traffic along the Fifth Avenue

Business District.

B. A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CONTENT OF AND/OR RELEASE OF CERTAIN EXCUTIVE SESSION MEETING MINUTES OF THE LEGAL, LICENSE AND ORDINANCE COMMITTEE OF THE VILLAGE OF MAYWOOD (2009 FULL YEAR REVIEW)
