Maywood Board of Trustees approves insurance agreement

Village of Maywood Board of Trustees met Wednesday, Sept. 14.

The board is the legislative body that develops and approves ordinances and resolutions governing the life of the community.

Here are the minutes as provided by Maywood:

SPECIAL BOARD MEETING VILLAGE OF MAYWOOD WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2016 AS AMENDED

L. CALL TO ORDER

The Special Board Meeting of Wednesday, September 14, 2016 was called to order by Mayor Edwenna Perkins at 10:11 P.M. in the Council Chambers at 125 South 5 Avenue, Maywood, IL 60153.

2. ROLL CALL

Upon roll call by Viola Mims, Village Clerk, the following answered Present: Mayor Edwenna Perkins, Trustee(s) H. Yarbrough, I Brandon, M. Rogers and R. Rivers. Absent: Trustee(s) A. Dorris and M. Lightford. There being a Quorum Present, the Meeting was called to Order.

STAFF ATTENDANCE:

Willie Norfleet Jr., Village Manager Vaidimir Talley Jr., Police Chief Michael Jurusik, Village Attorney Connie Thompkins, Administrative Clerk

3. A NEW BUSINESS

1. A Resolution approving Third Party Administrator Agreement between the Village of Maywood and Insurance Program Managers Group, L.L.C. relative to the General liability (Property and Casuafty) Program and Workers' Compensation Program, including a Third Party Administrator Agreement (General Liability (Property and Casualty) Program and Workers' Compensation Program.

Motioned by Trustee Brandon and Seconded by Trustee Yarbrough to approve.

Discussion: None Ayes: Mayor Perkins, Trustee(s) H. Yarbrough, I. Brandon, M. Rogers and R. Rivers Nays: None

Abstain: None

Absent: Trustee(s) A. Dorris and M. Lightford

MOTION CARRIES

2. A Resolution approving and authorizing the execution of a Second Addendum to the

Employment Agreement entered into with Willie Norfleet, Jr., with a copy of the Second Addendum to the Employment Agreement entered into with Willie Norfleet Jr.

Motioned by Trustee Rogers and Seconded by Trustee Yarbrough to ratify the Resolution of a Second Addendurn as discussed in Executive Session. Discusso: None Ayes: Trustee(s) H. Yarbrough, I. Brandon, M. Rogers and R. Rivers Nays: Mayor Perkins

MOTION CARRIES

An Ordinance authorizing the creation and issuance of Class E" Liquor License (Temporary License to sell or transfer liquor on Municipally Owned Property.) (2016 Maywood Family Day Festival - September 16, 17 and 18, 2016), including Section

17.23 (C) of the Maywood Liquor Code Ordinance.

A", a template Musician Agreement for Maywood Family Fest, and Exhibit "B", a list of Performers and Contract Amounts for Maywood Family Fest.

An Ordinance amending Sections 117.21 (Applications for License) and 117.23 (Classifications; Fees; Number of Licenses) of Chapter 117 (Alcoholic Beverages) of Title Xi (Business Regulations) of the Liquor Control Ordinance of the Maywood Village Code regarding Notice and Review of Liquor License Applications.

Motioned by Trustee Brandon and Seconded by Trustee Rivers to recess into Executive Session for the purpose of discussing:

A. Pending Litigation, pursuant to (5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11)). There was a consensus by the Board not to discuss Item B in Executive Session

B. Sales Price of Village Owned Real Estate, pursuant to (5 ILCS/120/2(c)(6))

Discussion: None Ayes: Mayor Perkins, Trustee(s) H. Yarbrough, I. Brandon, M. Rogers and R. Rivers Nays: None
