The Illinois Basketball Coaches Association recently voted Trinity High School senior Annie McKenna onto the 3A/4A All-State First Team.

With her aggressive play and an average of 11 points, eight assists and four steals per game, as well as 1,479 career points, McKenna will be a strong addition to the team.

The 5-foot-5 point guard was a Second Team IBCA 3A/4A All-State selection in 2015. Her tough competitive play and ability to find the open player for the pass continues to make her a strong competitor against taller players. McKenna also earned a 3A/4A Special Mention All-State in 2014.

McKenna and her teammate, senior Kaitlin Aylward, recently led the Trinity Blazers to victory and the team's first state trophy in the final game of their 30-6 season. McKenna's 25 points, combined with Aylward's 20 points, led to the 63-47 win over the Dolphins. This was the team's first trip to the state semifinals, where they took third in the state in Class 4A.

McKenna plans to major in business at Dartmouth.
