River Forest Historic Preservation Commission to discuss window request

The River Forest Historic Preservation Commission will discuss a request to make modifications at 563 Park Ave. during its next regular meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday in the first-floor Community Room in River Forest Village Hall, 400 Park Ave.

The modifications under review involve the building's windows.

The commission also will discuss the 100th anniversary of the 700 block of William Street and the annual Historic Preservation Award.

Amendments to the Historic Preservation Ordinance and their implementation also will be discussed.

The Historic Preservation Commission is responsible for assessing applications for modifications to landmark properties and certificates of appropriateness. It  also documents and preserves educational materials on the town's historical architecture. Members of the commission include Chairman David Franek, Laurel McMahon, Al Popowits, Carla Graham-White, David Raino-Ogden, Tom Zurowski and Brian Prestes.
