The River Forest Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. March 10 in the Community Room of the Municipal Complex, 400 Park Ave., to hear requests for variances on two proposed construction projects.

Peter Philippi will present his case for a variance from rules limiting the height of walls that do not meet code requirements for setback distances from the front and rear yards. Philippi is seeking the variance in order to construct a two-story addition at 1102 Franklin Avenue.

Renee Duba and James Clancy will seek similar setback variances for their own two-story addition at 24 Franklin Ave. They also are asking the board to allow a continuation of the roof overhang on the first floor, which maintains a non-conforming setback, and to allow a roof overhang on the second floor that will not meet the required setback.
