The village of Maywood Legal, License and Ordinance Committee discussed the village's blight reduction program during a meeting Wednesday at the Maywood Police Department.
Representatives from the Community Development Department were expected to provide an update on the village's application to the Illinois Housing Development Authority's Hardest Hit Fund.
Colin Fleming was expected to give a presentation on the proposed Metra Union Pacific-West Line. Fleming has told committee members that he would work with Metra and Union Pacific to prepare a project update for the public.
The committee was also expected to review the mayoral appointments of Vincent Fields and Jacqueline Fowler to the Traffic Safety Commission; Edwin Walker to the Economic Development Commission; and Rolando Villegas to the Maywood Housing Authority.
